About Us
Joni Judd has 18 years as a Quality and Performance Excellence Consultant. She is an examiner for the Baldrige National Quality Program and the Florida Sterling Council. Over the last ten years, she has examined public, education, and healthcare organizations for performance excellence. She has worked with management teams from county agencies and service organizations to implement performance excellence strategies that increased productivity, customer and employee satisfaction, product and service quality and process capabilities. She recommends a flexible Strategic Planning Process that addresses the organization’s challenges, prioritizes the strategic objectives and ensures sustainability. Joni facilitates a methodology that designs work systems based on the organization’s strategic objectives, customer and operational performance requirements and resource capabilities.
She is a Master Black Belt with an ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt certification and has mentored process management and process improvement teams across multiple industries, such as manufacturing, transportation, finance, insurance and customer operations. Most teams demonstrated 40-80% improvement within a month of implementation and sustained improvement over several years. Joni managed seven to ten Lean Six Sigma projects a year for three years achieving results of 40-60% reduction in variation and predictable processes during hurricane season and improving customer satisfaction on delivering products to over 40 State Governments.
Other Accomplishments:
- Facilitated and instructed cross-functional teams in process management in Claims Adjudication following Medicare regulations with a potential savings of $2-3M and developed a Quality Management System for cross-functional processes in support of critical products.
- Facilitated a Customer Order Process Re-Engineering Team, using practical analytical tools including Benchmarking. The team achieved an estimated 40% savings by improving cash flow.
- Managed a Terminal Excellence and Network Coordination Project covering the east coast of the United States, resulting in service reliability improvement of 115%, which generated capital to acquire another railroad.
- Facilitated two operational teams that received national recognition for their achievements: the Rochester Institute of Technology, USA Today Quality Cup 1999 and 3rd place in the National Association of Quality and Participation Team Competition.
- Supervised nine Six Sigma Teams for National Graduate School. Each team completed their project in less than a year and estimated a savings of $500K to $1M per team.
Training and Coaching Experience:
- Coaches and trains managers in using statistical process control charts to determine specific areas for process improvement.
- Managed a customer service training project using 20 independent contract trainers for four call centers involved in the MetLife Initial Public Offering.
- Coaches senior leaders through strategic planning and change management.
- Mentors managers and green belt team leaders through the DMAIC process.
- Delivers black, green and yellow belt six-sigma training to service industries.
Joni has both under-graduate/graduate degrees in Quality Management and Mechanical Engineering: She received her Masters In Quality Management from Loyola University, New Orleans and her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.
